The "UnderSpun PAF Humbucker" set is a model that reproduces the "PAF magic" taste of vintage Gibson, with a different taste from the standard "PAF (Patent Applied For)".

According to Monty's, "PAF" has a wide range of variations from a historical perspective.At the time, there were many Gibson pickup winding machines operating at the same time, all at different speeds.There is also an episode where someone suddenly leaves his seat to make a cup of tea.Despite this, the number of turns was measured in ``time'' and not in ``number of times,'' so there are some individuals with fewer copper wires.

Monty's, who has seen a large number of PAFs, seems to think that the instability of the device's power supply also causes large variations in output, which is why the "magical PAF" was born by chance.

What Monty's noticed is that PAFs, which are unique and attractive, have lower than average output.
These pickups are characterized by a clear, bright, deep tone, and a sweet, non-aggressive midrange.

If Monty's standard pickup is a "bright humbucker," this "UnderSpun PAF" is like a thick single coil.
Of course, the structure is a complete humbucker, but there is a certain Fullerton flavor.
This has a completely different character from a regular PAF, not only in its sound but also in the way it responds to picking dynamics.The soft, rounded rise is attractive.

In creating a pickup that reproduces this property, Monty's not only reduces the number of windings, but also pays close attention to the winding method, coil offset, and magnet selection.Because there are fewer windings, the guitar's original sound stands out and the chords resonate beautifully.

The parts used are the same as regular PAF models.High quality nickel silver hardware, butyrate bobbin, and 42 gauge plain enamelled wire.The magnets are Alnico 5 in the neck and Alnico 4 in the bridge.
