The "Original PAF Humbucker" set is a flagship humbucker model from Montees.The ideal is to faithfully reproduce the PAF (Patent Applied For) pickups installed in the 1958-1960 Les Paul Standard, and we have made it as close to the original as possible.The sound that comes from it is a superb tone.

Through decomposition, investigation and research into the original "PAF" I am confident that Montees captured the essence of the sound of the early "PAF" humbuckers designed by Seth Rubber.
Winding machines at the time were very primitive, and there were individual differences in resistance, coil balance, and magnetic strength, so some of them sounded ordinary.On the other hand, the experience of discovering a wonderful "PAF" is hard to find anywhere else.

The ideal "PAF" tone, which Montees considers, is a fusion of the three-dimensional, rich sound of a humbucker with the clarity of a single coil.It produces a rich, open sound, and responds faithfully to your play style, and when you play it lightly, it will sound beautifully and clear, and when you play it hard, it will sound powerfully.

Using his experience of being exposed to various "PAFs" through repairs to many "PAFs" and maintenance of Les Pauls in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Montees has noticed a specific combination of magnetic force, power, and coil balance that is common to the best individuals.This "Original PAF Humbucker" set faithfully reproduces the "perfect recipe."

Also, like the original PAF, it is not waxed or potted, making it extremely sensitive and dynamic.The coil is wound with a slight difference in resistance value, which greatly improves the high-frequency response.
