Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Sunrise Orange 1991

Gibson's "Chet Atkins Country Gentleman" was produced from around 1986 to the mid-2000s.This is the electric model announced after Elegat's ``Chet Atkins CE,'' which was created after Mr. Chet ended his endorsement contract with Gretsch and signed a contract with Gibson.

The neck has a rounded profile and a maple/ebony fretboard, finished in a pink-red color with impressive position marks that resemble Gretsch's thumbnail inlays.
It is said that the aim was to create a clear difference in appearance from the Gretsch by using this red material inlay.

The 17-inch semi-hollow body, dyed in a bright sunrise orange color and featuring F-holes and Venetian cutaways, looks similar to the 335, and the top, back, and sides are constructed of tasteful heathered flame maple.
The bridge is a combination of ABR-1 and Bigsby on a rosewood base, and the PU is equipped with 492R on the front and 490T on the rear, outputting a clear and warm sound with low output.

The controls are a 3-way pickup selector, 2 volumes, a master tone, and a master volume on the horn section on the 1st string side, and this area also has a positional relationship that completely follows Gretsch.

The name "Chet Atkins" is engraved on the truss rod cover, and the Schaller peg with the Gibson stamp is also unique in that by pulling out the metal fittings on the side, you can quickly turn the peg when changing strings, etc.

It's a special model that you wouldn't believe was made by Gibson, but the great thing about it is that it has a distinctly Gibson feel.
An interesting model where you can feel the dedication that is unique to the legend Chet Atkins.
