Gibson Explorer 1991 Alpine White w/ Seymour Duncan Pickups

Gibson's Explorer, released in 1958 along with the Flying V, was a model that challenged any guitar design that existed before its introduction.More than 60 years later, it has firmly established itself in the guitar world as a standard shape used by artists of all genres around the world, including Metallica's James Hetfield.

This time, we have an Alpine white color "Gibson Explorer" made in 1991.Weight is 4.19kg.

This one has been used quite a bit, and has a mahogany body that has turned yellow due to aging, a 22F rosewood fingerboard, and a mahogany neck. Not only is it easy to play due to its thin C shape, but its unique shape has made it a favorite among many metal guitarists, making it a piece that stands out on stage.

The pickups have been replaced and are equipped with Seymour Duncan's "SH-2N" and "SH-14" zebra color sets (made in 2013 and 2011).The "SH-14" humbucker has a well-balanced low and high range, excellent responsiveness, and is suitable for a variety of genres, and is a classic model known for being included in LOUDNESS Akira Takasaki's signature model.

The controls are very simple with 2 volume and tone.A rare piece that allows you to enjoy the classic Explorer sound, with a dark rosewood fingerboard that is rarely seen on current models, and pegs with the Gibson logo.It was probably used on stage quite a bit, so there are a lot of scratches, chips, and stains on the whole, but this gives it a dignified appearance, and it has a very tasteful appearance.

This is a guitar with a rock-like sound that makes it easy to see why Gibsons were so popular in the 90's.When I drove it with the Don Shari setting, it had a nice sound for both riffs and solos, and the thick core was solid and the playing feeling was great. It probably goes well with Duncan pickups.Of course, you can change it to whatever you like, or you could just shake it off and put EMG on it.This is a must-have for all rock guitarists, and is sure to attract attention overseas.
