Gibson SG Standard Heritage Cherry 1995 w/ Monty's Guitars Retro Wind Humbucker Pickups

The SG, which was born as a successor to the Gibson Les Paul, is one of Gibson's most iconic guitars.Due to its easy-to-play double cutaway neck and lightweight body, it is used by many rock guitarists.

This time, the 1995 "SG Standard", heritage cherry color is now in stock!Weight is 3.08kg.

The rounded-shaped mahogany neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, and long tenon joint that connects to the body near the 19th fret allow you to enjoy the singing sustain that makes the most of the sound of the solid mahogany body.It has an old-fashioned look with Krewson type pegs and a large pickguard.
The paint on the neck has been peeled off, giving it a smooth texture that makes it very easy to play. There is a repair mark for a broken neck, but it has been repaired neatly and the playability is excellent.

Furthermore, at our store, we replaced the "490R/490T" pickup with a Monty's pickup, and also changed the two capacitors to Monty's "Monty's Oil Tone Capacitors (4,400 yen x 2)" to upgrade. Please note that the original pickup is not included.

“Monty’s Guitars” is a high-end pickup brand from London, UK.Founder Matt Gleeson has thoroughly analyzed vintage pickups and rebuilt the tone for modern players, bringing out the best performance regardless of genre.

"Retro Wind Humbucker" is a model that adds modern ease of use to vintage tone. This is the nickel type.

It has slightly more output than a genuine vintage humbucker, and features tight bass, good midrange thrust, and rich, dynamic highs. The coils are intentionally wound with a slight imbalance to prevent high frequency attenuation and achieve clear sound.

Because it is wax potted, the sound resonates more directly than regular vintage humbuckers. As a result, the overtones are somewhat modest, so they can be heard clearly even in a band ensemble without being drowned out.Another selling point of this model is that this potting process allows it to be used stably even in high-gain environments.

Please take this opportunity to try the upgraded SG that is unique to our store.
