Takamine PT-207
"Takamine" is currently a world-renowned electric acoustic guitar manufacturer that produces numerous products. We pursue both acoustic and electric acoustics and carefully manufacture products.
This time, we have received the dreadnought model "PT-207", which was released in the late 90's and was popular due to its use of luxurious Hawaiian koa.
The top, sides, and back are made of Hawaiian koa, the neck is made of mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. The appearance shows that all the materials used were high-quality woods from the time. The use of a two-part saddle for octave correction is also typical of high-class Takamine at the time. The core material has acoustic properties similar to mahogany, and when combined with the larger body, creates an extremely warm, rich, and expansive sound.
The no-cutaway structure allows you to enjoy a spacious live sound, and it is also equipped with an original preamplifier, allowing for a wide range of sound makeup with 3EQ.This is a high-quality electric-acoustic sound that can be used on stage.
A hard case is included.
It was a fun piece to play at home with its sparkling high notes and live sound.I think it looks luxurious as well. The preamplifier was easy to use, and its strength is that it can demonstrate its capabilities even when connected to an amplifier.
Takamine's guitars are characterized by bright tones with an emphasis on the high notes, but since this is a core guitar, it has just the right amount of warmth and is comfortable, and I feel like it would stand out beautifully even in a band's sound.
Of course, the neck shape that makes it easy for Japanese players to play is also attractive. The string height is also low, so it is highly recommended not only for those who are looking for an easy-to-play koa wood acoustic guitar, but also for those who are just starting to play the guitar.
