The 2019 model D-42, the venerable "Style 42" dreadnought whose specifications were finalized at the end of the 19th century and became the basis of the 40 series, has arrived.

The fingerboard binding, the top of the body including the fingerboard area, and the Avalon inlay around the sound hole are the same as the D-45, but perhaps out of respect for its historical significance, the position marks are not hexagons, but instead follow the snowflake design, which is a detailed pattern representing the earliest snowflakes.
