This album was recorded monaurally and in stereo at Count Basie's, New York. Instruments & mikes were set up as follows: (Right) Piano-RCA 77; Bass-EV 667; Sax-RCA 44. (Left) Trumpet-RCA 44 & Drums-EV 667. The session was recorded on Ampex tape recorders at a speed of 15 inches per second.
