Gibson ES-125 Sunburst 1965

The ES-125, introduced in 1941 as the successor to Gibson's ES-100, was an entry-level archtop guitar at the time.Equipped with a P-90 single-coil pickup in the neck position, single volume control and single tone control, the prewar model, which was discontinued in 1942, had a small 14.5-inch body.

The model re-released in 1946 had the same large 16.25-inch wide body as the ES-150, and the rosewood fingerboard originally had trapezoidal pearl inlays, but this was later changed to dot inlays.

This time, the 60's vintage is in stock. The serial number is "276322" and it is "ES-125" made in 1965.

There are various specifications, such as the Thinline model ES-125T and the ES-175, which has a double P-90 pickup option and a sharp cutaway called Florentine cutaway, but both the Thinline and regular models were discontinued by the 1970s.

Approximately 60 years have passed since it was manufactured, but considering that, it is in good playing condition.

At present, the pickup is probably the original, the pot is Vol made in 1964, the tone is unreadable, and the capacitor is Sprague Black Beauty.

A gig bag is included, but if you would like a hard case with the Gibson logo from the time (it is in poor condition, the handle is missing, and there is a musty smell), please write that in the notes section at the time of purchase, and we will change it and ship it to you.

This guitar does not have a prominent range, making it a well-balanced and easy-to-use guitar. The look is also vintage and tasteful. At present, it is not difficult to play, and the loudness and cleanliness of the sound are exactly what the ES-125 is good for.Recommended for those who are aiming for a vintage full acoustic guitar, why not take over the history of this guitar?
