Fender Japan CTL 50M Telecaster w/ Monty's '68 Raw Nickel Set
Fender Japan 50s Telecaster 1986-87 w/ Monty's '68 Telecaster Raw Nickel Set
"Fender Japan Telecaster w/ Monty's '68 Telecaster Raw Nickel Set," a product unique to our store with significantly upgraded hardware such as pickups, is now in stock!
This is an F serial Telecaster model that was manufactured at the Fujigen factory in 1986-1987 and is now defined as Japan Vintage.
It maintains the sophisticated construction, stable quality, and high cost performance that can only be expected from a Japanese-made instrument, while providing modern performance performance that can be adapted to a variety of styles.
There is a CTL 50 stamp on the neck and body, but it is a 70's style model equivalent to the TL72-55, with a 1p maple neck equipped with GOTOH pegs, and a body made of Sen or Ash.
And at our store, we have replaced the pickup with "Monty's '68 Telecaster Raw Nickel Set" and upgraded it by replacing parts and wiring such as the selector, pot (CTS), and capacitor!!
This is a recommended product from Monty's Guitars, a British company that provides high-quality hand-wound pickups and has gained support from many professional guitarists, including The Who's Pete Townshend, Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Mark Knopfler, and session guitarist Tim Pierce.
"68 Telecaster Pickup" is a model that was analyzed and reproduced based on the 1968 model.
It has a somewhat modest output characteristic of the late 60's, and a bright, edgy top end with a slightly scooped midrange, creating a glass-like delicate ice pick sound.
Similar to the specifications of pickups at the time, different gauge wires are used, 43' for the front and 42' for the rear, and the resistance is lower on the rear, with fewer coils than in the 1950s and thinner magnets.
Also, the potting is not wax, as it was back then, but lacquer pot specifications, which also plays a role in good response.
We are selling new and authorized Monty's Pickups at our store, so please take this opportunity to try out the upgraded Fender Japan that is unique to our store.
