Gibson '76 Explorer 2012 Ebony w/ EMG 81 & 85 Pickups

Released in 1958 with Flying V, Gibson's Explorer was a model that disputed any guitar design that existed at the time before its arrival.More than 60 years later, it has established a solid position in the guitar world as a classic shape used by artists of all genres around the world, including Metallica's James Hetfield.

This time we have arrived in the 2012 '76 Gibson Explorer, ebony black.Weight is approximately 3.92kg.

It features an all-mahogany set neck structure that follows the 1976 specifications, and a 22F rosewood fingerboard with dot-inlays.Originally it was equipped with the "490R/498T", but this one has been replaced with the "EMG 81 & 85".When you think of EMG-equipped Explorer, Metallica is inevitably the thing that comes to mind.

Extremely simple controls with only two volume and tone knobs.The 3-way selector is the opposite of normal.(The front and rear are reversed) This is sometimes seen in Van Halen's AXIS, but I guess the player made the modification to remove the toggle when they want to switch to the front.There are certainly some people who find this easier once they get used to it.

The hardware is thought to be original, including the Mini Glover pegs and the 3-ply white pickguard.The glossy ebony nitro lacquer finish keeps the hard-core image still in place, but has the impressive tone and playability that allow you to enjoy the hard, powerful sound unique to EMG.
