Gibson Les Paul Junior P-100 Sunburst 1990
Gibson Les Paul Junior P-100 Sunburst 1990
Gibson's "Les Paul Jr." was introduced in 1954 as an introductory machine that even students could afford.By adopting a flat-top mahogany body and omitting binding, it was a model that was sold as a high cost performance that allows you to enjoy Gibson sound at a more affordable price than a regular Les Paul, but due to its clean specifications, it has many professional users and boasts unique popularity.
This time we have a Les Paul Junior made in 1990, sunburst color.Weight approximately 3.8kg.
Originally, one dog-ear type "P-90" pickup was installed in the rear, but this one is equipped with a "P-100".The exterior is the same as the "P-90", but the inside has a stacked ham structure, so the biggest feature is that noise is reduced like a humbucker.
Mounted directly onto a flat mahogany body. The powerful sound created by this structure is especially suited for rock genres, such as power chords and bridge mute playing, and genres that require lightness and sound pressure.
It has extremely simple controls with only one volume and tone knob, and is lightweight and easy to use, making it a popular model for guitar vocalists. This weight is 3.8kg, which is a little heavy for a junior.
Normal Junior models use a bar bridge, but this one uses a Tune-O-Matic bridge and a stop tailpiece, making it possible to adjust the octave tuning. The pegs are made by Grover and appear to be original.
Also, the strap pin is a black lock type. It's probably been modified to be used live. The knobs may also have changed. It's a fairly easy-to-turn type, so you can see that they were particular about ease of use on stage.
Centered around the woody tone typical of early 90's Gibson, this is a valuable guitar that can also be used in harder genres thanks to the P100.The resolution is high, the sound quality is very clear, and it looks cool, so this product is highly recommended!
