Dean Razorback V 255 Classic Black with Yellow Bevels 2007
Dimebag Darrell, familiar to Pantera and Damage Plans, offered two new designs to "DEAN" in September 2004.The first of these albums, "Razorback," was praised as the coolest metal guitar ever, and DEAN CEO Elliot Rubinson said, "Everyone likes this shape. "It will sell better than the regular Razorback."
This time, we have arrived the V-shaped "Razorback V 255" with such an episode.
The details differ from the guitars that Dime designed at the time, and although the regular Razorback V has a scale length of 24.75 inches and 22 frets, the 255 features a 25.5 inches, 24 frets and a long Strato style scale.
This length is intended to appeal to guitarists who prefer down tuning riffs. In 2004, the Razorback V was supposed to have a Seymour Duncan Dimebacker Pickup, but the 255 is equipped with EMG active "81" and "85".
This advanced design and specifications risked ruining the original quality of the Razorback V, but when you hold the neck of the Razorback V 255, your fears that it might not be able to operate like the Razorback V will soon disappear.
The long scale can sometimes feel like vibrato and choking are a hassle, but the 255 is extremely smooth, expressive, with a spacious fingerboard and easy-to-grip neck profile, and Floyd Rose that creates perfect sound and tuning stability, making it extremely convenient.
If you want power with this specification, you probably decided that an active EMG is the best. What's more, there's a reason why this 81/85 combination is the most famous. This is because it has an incredible low-end grind that is powerful when strumming bass strings, and a dark, menacing high tone that maintains sharp clarity.
This collaboration guitar between Darrell and DEAN, featuring a standard mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard and classic wood materials, while focusing on design and sound that overwhelms others, is a model that can be recommended to all metal guitarists.
