Sale price¥748,000 JPY

Fender Mustang 1972 Competition Burgundy

The Fender Mustang (Mustang) has a smaller body, a short scale neck and a unique vibrato unit. The sound and tuning are both wild, so it is called a "Running Horse (= Mustang)" that is difficult to ride, and is loved by many guitarists, including Kurt Cobain and Char, as an instrument with a maniacal charm. It is a famous model as it was also used in the popular anime "K-On"!

This individual has a neck date of "16 APR 72B", and the dark green color body with a competition line is packed with weather checks, giving it a dignified look.It uses a dark rosewood 22F fingerboard, giving it a perfect vintage look.It weighs 3.2kg.

The grey bobbin pickup comes with a 1972 stamp, the pot date is also made in 1972, and the slide switch and capacitor remain the original. The nuts remain the original, but have been adjusted to match the rubbing.

The control is one volume and one tone, and the three-position slide switch in the control section is set to ON/OFF/Inverse phase ON (=Swap positive and negative). When each of them is used alone, the sound will be the same in both phases, but when two are played at the same time, if one of them is in opposite phase, it is possible to create an "out-of-phase sound" that shows the midrange and the high range stands out.

Although Mustangs have a light sound on short scale, it is difficult to stabilize tuning and other things, as you get used to playing, the feeling of separation of the strings during the open chords on the crunch is very pleasant. This is a genuine Mustang made from high quality wood from the 70s, rarely in stock.
It is almost entirely original, and the colors are rare, and the look with three lines is also amazing, and the vintage sound with a fender feel, making it a great choice for those who want to ride a snake horse.
