PRESSING - UNIQUE PARLOPHONE LOGO IN RELIEFThis pressing has three items defined in relief on side A label - not the tax code but instead the Parlophone '£' logo itself as well as the words to its left and right 'Trade' and 'Mark' respectively. Each letter of the words is within its respective word uniquely embossed as 'T-R-A-D-E-£-M-A-R-K' rather than appearing embossed either in three blocks for each word or together in a single block. See relevant images above.
First pressing. August 6, 1965. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. Capitol print. Tracing-paper-lined “Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. With or without KT tax code on the label.
Variation A. The original 1st labels used a Sans-Serif font and the * credit indicator for “I Need You” was placed to the right of the song title with a space between: I Need You *.
