Artist: The J.J. Johnson Quintet
The J.J. Johnson Quintet was a five-piece jazz band (quintet) led by modern jazz trombone master J.J. Johnson. They left behind many of his signature works and live albums, and their activities in the late 1950s in particular, when they featured virtuosos such as Tommy Flanagan and Elvin Jones, are highly regarded as a symbol of the golden age of modern jazz.
