Japanese female idol group. Formed in 1983, they released their first single in August 1984. They split up in 1989, reforming briefly in 1999.The original line up consisted of "Chiiko" [Mieko Ishikawa ], "Miho" [Miho Aida] and "Reiko" [Reiko Yasuhara]. Due to a herniated disc, Chiiko later withdrew from group activity for treatment and was replaced by "Tomo" [Tomoko Hikita].Shohjo-Tai had a huge fanbase around Asia and toured Asia extensively which cumulated at being invited to sing the Image song for the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games in Korea.
