Artist: 山崎 ハコ (Hako Yamasaki)
Japanese folk singer-songwriter, guitarist, and actress, born 18 May 1957 in Hita City, Oita Prefecture. A pioneer of the folk-boom in 1970s Japan, Hako Yamasaki has had an intensive output, releasing 35 albums from 1975 to 2024. After the folk-boom passed in the 1980s, Yamasaki came close to homelessness due to the underwhelming sales of her albums. She transferred to the [l=Polydor] label in 1985, releasing four albums until falling into a 3½ year hiatus before releasing SA・SU・GA in 1990.
