Einstürzende Neubauten is a German experimental industrial band led by Blixa Bargeld, formed in West Berlin in 1980. Using scrap metal and tools such as steel plates and power drills as homemade instruments, their unique style, which combines destructive noise and silence, has had a profound influence on subsequent generations of music.
