John Coates, Jr. (born February 17, 1938, Trenton, New Jersey, USA - died November 22, 2017, Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA) was an American jazz pianist, composer and arranger. He primarily performed as a pianist, but also occasionally played vibraphone and clarinet.
