The Tokyo Symphony Orchestra (TSO), also known as Tōkyō Kōkyō Gakudan, is a Japanese orchestra, established in 1946 as the Toho Symphony Orchestra (東宝交響楽団) and based in Kawasaki. TSO acquired its current name in 1951.The Orchestra has been performing at many prestigious venues in Japan, including Suntory Hall, Tokyo, Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, and Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall.
