Yamaha's first electric guitar, the "SG-2", was released in April 1966.Developed as one of the first full-fledged electric guitars made in Japan, it features a Mosrite-like shape and a unique tremolo unit.

The model that has arrived this time is the "SG-2" made in 1966, the first year, with the serial number "0871".Weight is 3.56kg.

Initially developed as "S-201/S-302", the names changed to "SG-3" and "SG-2".Bolt-on maple neck to asymmetrical double cutaway hardwood body.The fingerboard is a traditional specification with 22F rosewood and zero frets.Adopts a 650mm scale and is equipped with a roller bridge + vibrato unit.

Two pickups are mounted with original single coils.In addition to the volume, tone, and 3-way pickup selector, the controls include volume, tone, and a 3-way pickup selector, and like the Fender Jaguar, when you flip the slide switch, only the front pickup is forcibly selected, allowing slide-type volume and tone control.

Other features include a matching head that matches the body color, and a cursive YAMAHA logo that is available only at this time of year.This model was priced at an expensive price of 42,000 yen at a time when Tesco's prices ranged from a few thousand yen to around 20,000 yen, and since it was manufactured in the first year, it is extremely rare and worthy of the Japan Vintage name.
