Gibson ES-347 Sunburst 1979

The 1979 model "ES-347", which debuted in 1978 as the successor to Gibson's famous model "ES-345" and incorporates many new ideas, is now in stock.Weight is 4.24kg.

This model has unique specs among Gibson's semi-acoustic lineup, and its biggest feature is that it is equipped with a tailpiece with a fine tuner and PT-6, which allows for finer tuning of each string.In addition, "Sustain Sisters" is installed under the saddle to enhance sustain and treble extension.It is a challenging and unique specification not found in other Gibson lineups.

The wood material is maple for the top, sides, back, and neck.Ebony fingerboard with block position markers and multi-binding headstock.It has the same specs as the ES-335 from the same period, but the head inlay is a crown inlay.The pickup is equipped with two original Tarback super humbuckers.Another point is that the coil can be tapped using the switch on the right horn.

As for the condition, we have overhauled it here.Specifically, we replaced the refret and nut from the original brass nut with a cow bone one, and since the paint on the neck had deteriorated, we removed the paint, worked on the back of the neck to give it a satin finish, and made other modifications to the binding and inlay, making it in perfect condition.Now you can play it like new.Of course, the pickup, pot, and bridge are all original, so we repair them at our shop in a way that makes players happy.

The exterior also has a vintage feel, and the wood is completely different from modern ones.
The vibration produced by the brass block has a completely different sound than the 335.This is a model that has many enthusiasts and was even reprinted in 1991. We have made the 1979 original into one of the best in our store, so we hope you will pick it up.
