"Fender Japan TLG80-550 w/ Monty's Full Monty Telecaster Raw Nickel Set," a product unique to our store with a significantly upgraded pickup, is now in stock!

This is a J serial Telecaster model "TLG80-550" that was manufactured at the Fujigen factory in 1989-1990 and is now defined as Japan Vintage.Purchased in 1991.It maintains the sophisticated construction, stable quality, and high cost performance that can only be expected from a Japanese-made instrument, while providing modern performance performance that can be adapted to a variety of styles.

According to the catalog at the time, the official specifications of "TLG80-550" are
Body: Basswood
Neck: Maple Oval Type 324scale
Fingerboard: Rosewood 184R 21F
Pickup : TL CURRENT
Control: 1V, 1T, 3WAY SW
Bridge: 3 Section Gold
Color: Black

The parts here have all been changed from gold to nickel.The pegs are made by GOTOH and have been changed to a 6-row saddle.

And at our store, we have replaced the original pickup with "Monty's Full Monty Telecaster Raw Nickel Set" and upgraded the selector, pot (CTS), capacitor, and wiring!!Please note that the removed original pickup is not included.

"Monty's Full Monty Telecaster" is a slightly modern style Telecaster pickup that aims for a higher output sound while maintaining a clear Telecaster sound.

The front has a classic Strat sound tone, and the rear has a tone close to that of a P90, but it does not lose its typical Telecaster sound.In addition to the bright and punchy sound image in the high range, it also has a tight and rich low mid that supports the foundation, making it an almighty player in the modern music scene.

Similar to the specifications of vintage pickups, potting is applied only partially, so there is no wax in the center of the coil, allowing for a clearer and more responsive sound.

In addition, the front pickup has RWRP specifications that provide hum canceling when in the middle position.
