Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 1976 w/ Patent No. Humbucker Pickups

The 1976 Les Paul Deluxe, a representative model of the 1970s, was made by changing the pickup of the Gibson Les Paul Standard, which was remanufactured in 1968, to a mini humbucker.Weight is 4.55kg.

Classic 70s specs: maple top and mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.Originally it was thought to be equipped with a mini humbucker pickup, but this one is actually equipped with two Gibson humbuckers with a "PAT number engraved" on the back.It is said that some Gibsons at the time were custom-ordered to include humbuckers in their deluxe models, so it is difficult to say for sure, but there is a possibility that they were sold in this form, modified to have humbuckers.(Factory root). The internal wiring and pots are believed to be original from 1976.

On the back of the head, above the serial number is the model name "LES PAUL-DELUXE", "MADE IN U.S.A", and an 8-digit serial number starting with "00".The large head and volute characteristic of this era are still intact.

The Les Paul serial numbers from this period were a special specification that had only been used for about three years, and the first two digits were numbered on a pre-printed sheet, so 99 was made in 1975, 00 was made in 1976, and 06 was made in 1977.The pegs are Krewson's "Gibson Deluxe" engraved type. The truss rod cover is marked "Standard" (it is likely that it was matched because the appearance is closer to the standard).

Regarding the condition, there is evidence that this item has been refretted. On top of that, it must have been played a lot, with only about 30% of the frets remaining, but when you actually play it, it has a solid sound typical of Gibson at the time.Even now, it's not that difficult to play, and you can play it hard.I'm definitely considering replacing the frets in the future, but I think I'll be able to use it for a long time. The color of the rosewood fingerboard is dark, and the color of the binding has a vintage feel that is completely different from the current ones. Most of the hardware seems to be original, but only the bridge has been replaced with a new one.

Not only does it have a full-on rock sound, but it also has a sunburst color that you can't get with a relic, and the scratches create a dignified and cool sound. It's a humbucker, so it's easier to use than the so-called normal deluxe, and it's the best one I can find with no drawbacks.
