Gibson Custom Shop Edition Michael Schenker Flying V 1994 Black & White

From 1993 to 1994, Gibson sold a limited edition model to celebrate its 100th anniversary. This time, we have arrived the "Gibson Custom Shop Michael Schenker Flying V" of the custom shop edition, which is thought to have been produced as a project. It weighs 3.18kg.

This Flying V is finished in Michael Schenker colour, and the base is a 1967 Flying V reissue, but it is finished in an impressive black and white two-tone colour. This guitar was not repainted, and there are no other paint marks in the Custom Shop Edition logo on the back of the head or the pickup cavity, so it can be seen that it was planned and manufactured with this specification from the beginning. The serial is located on the back of the head, but it is very difficult to read and cannot be clearly stated, but it looks like "94000979" so it is thought to have been made in 1994.

This has been significantly modified by the previous owner.First, the pickguard has been replaced, and the pickup is currently equipped with "Burstbucker #2, #3".(The product number of the original pickup is unknown.) A pickguard that appears to be original is also included.

The bridge, tailpiece, pickup escutcheons, nuts and capacitors have also been replaced, and the volume and tone knobs have not been changed to the original Gibson, but to the same fender knob as Michael Schenker himself. When it arrived, the truss rod cover was a two-tone cover designed by the original, which was thought to have been made by the company, but this one has been returned to its original rod cover.(Two homemade rod covers are included.) In addition, a plate has been added to the jack. This is probably installed to increase strength.

The pegs use Glover rather than Crewson, and this one is probably original. Not only is the dark rosewood fingerboard, which is rarely seen in current products, but also the mahogany body filled with weather checks, it shows that it is made from good wood from the 90s.This limited edition V is quite valuable and very appealing for Michael Schenker fans and guitar collectors.

This guitar will probably never be in stock again, so I took this opportunity to try it out for quite some time. The sound is the best texture that is common in Historic Collections at this time of year, and the sound of the front pickup was slightly firmer than the sweet one, and the overall drive was pleasant with the band sound. It has a great effect on the comfort that brings out all the good points of Gibson's humbucker, and perhaps the sound of the weather check, which is packed into the body.It looks good, and it looks well-used.
It's also nice that it's light at 3.18kg.The fatigue after standing and playing is completely different. It's also too hot to see the previous owner paying attention to his own appearance. It was a wonderful guitar that would make you want to play it.Seriously I recommend it.
