The Les Paul Custom was released in 1954 as a higher-end model of Gibson's signature model.This time, in 2018, the 50th anniversary of the launch of the popular 1968-style customization, the special model "50th Anniversary 1968 Les Paul Custom," released by Gibson Custom Shop, is now in stock for a limited time of 300 units.It weighs 4.23kg.

In the summer of 1968, Gibson made an important update to the Les Paul Custom, in the form of an unprecedented reproduction.Very different from the 1950s specifications, the first mahogany back uses a solid maple top, a two-humbucker and a 14-degree head angle, reducing string tension and improving playability.This specification matches the trends of the era when rock sound was established, and is still loved by many rock guitarists today.

This 50th anniversary model faithfully reproduces these groundbreaking features.It uses a long neck tenon construction, a "medium C" neck profile, a 12-inch radius ebony fingerboard, and a "68 Custom Humbucker" that is not included in other models (pictured in 2016, and is a stock product developed by former Historic Product Manager Edwin Wilson when he was working), providing a full-fledged vintage experience.

It also comes with a "Hand Selected" certificate, which indicates that the material is used.Black Beauty, which combines carefully selected gold hardware with black colours, including waffle back pegs and sombrero knobs, and features a sophisticated, beautiful look like a tuxedo with VOS finish, is one of the most aspirations for guitarists.
It is also an excellent collector's item, including the included replica hard case from 1968.
