Fender Mustang 1978 Natural w/ Eric Daw Mustang Pickups
Fender's Mustang, which was born as a student model in 1964, has unique specifications such as a small body, short scale neck, and unique vibrato unit, making it an attractive instrument loved by many guitarists such as Kurt Cobain and Mr. Char.It is a famous model, as it was also used in the popular anime ``K-ON'', but because of its wild sound and tuning, it is called a ``wild horse'' that is difficult to ride, and it also has a maniacal side.
The one that arrived this time is a natural color made in 1978.Weight is 3.32kg.
It has an ash body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard made of wood, and parts are unified in black for a rugged look.
The original pickup was out of stock, so we replaced it with the Mustang Set Alnico V by Eric Daw.(Wiring has also been corrected due to replacement)
Hand-wound pickups by Eric Daw, an Idaho guitar craftsman known for making custom pickups. This direct-drive pickup winding device was created by researching the early pickup winding devices of electric guitar pioneers in the 1950s, and each guitar is wound by hand. This is a new product manufactured in November 2024.Please note that the original pickup is not included.
1 volume, 1 tone, and the 3-position slide switch in the control section is set to ON/OFF/opposite phase ON (= swapping positive and negative). When used individually, the sound will be the same regardless of the phase, but if you play both at the same time and one is out of phase, it is possible to create an "out-of-phase sound" in which the midrange is distinctive but the highs stand out.
The number of frets has decreased considerably, but we have them adjusted at our shop, so there is no problem with the playing condition. The hardware is most likely original, and you can enjoy the vintage sound that is typical of Fender.Recommended for those who want to ride a shrew with a short scale, light sound, and a sense of separation of the strings with open chords during crunch!
