Around 1986, when the adjustable rod (AJ) was introduced, the SQ neck order became available for the Japanese market, and this one seems to have been made to order.

The basic structure of the D-45, which is produced using only the highest grade wood known as "premium grade" and subjected to strict checks by skilled craftsmen, is almost the same as when it was announced.It features a powerful bass and well-balanced chord reverberations, using carefully selected wood and a bracing method that greatly affects the sound.

The high-quality rosewood from the 1980s used for the sides and back provides a thick, tight and powerful tone.The neck is also made of high-quality mahogany, and the bridge plate is made of large rosewood.The luxurious inlay, which is instantly recognizable, uses brightly colored Select Avalon, and the stunning purfling as well as the highest quality hardware such as gold pegs are used.

The string height is standard, making it easy to play, and it is in good condition, probably because it was taken care of, even though it has been over 35 years since it was manufactured.The logo plate on the attached hard case with a string attached is also embossed, which is unique to this period.
