2 J.S.Bach-compositions are played in jazz-style on the A-Side by the GÜNTER NORIS TRIO (ft. G.NORIS/PIANO & HARPSICORD, CH.ANTOLINI/drums, J.WARLAND/bass), the (original) classical versions of the same tracks are on the B-Side by 2 famous Bach-experts (H.WALCHA & H.COLLUM).
Released in Germany on HÖR ZU ca. 1969/1970 with the number SHZE 267 (SHZE 266 „Early Steppenwolf“ is from 1969, SHZE 270 „Bobby Gentry Portrait“ is from 1970). The sound and way of playing sounds like late 1950ies to late 1960ies.
The design of the Japanese Angel Records label is ca. mid-1970ies style (e.g. Angel Records – EAC-80297 is from 1976).
