Toshiba/EMI Japan issued this US release as part of Japan's "Country Flag" obi / EAS re-issue series of the Beatles Japanese LP catalog which began in 1976. This is title n° 18 in the series, with U.S. flag obi.

Originally released in US July 1964.
Comes with obi and lyric sheet. Green Apple label.
The inner cover has the titles in English and Japanese. Lyrics are printed in English and Japanese.

Recording notes:
-Pressed from a copy of a US master, as identified by the matrix stamp
-True stereo on all tracks.

Packaging notes:
-Front and back covers are from the US design but this pressing is in a gatefold sleeve with new artwork for this release.
-Apple logo on the front jacket in place of where the Capitol logo would be.
-Includes bio-lyric sheet insert (in English & Japanese)
-Disc comes with clear rice-paper inner sleeve. Early pressing come in a solid black inner sleeve.
-Obi states ‎¥2,500
-Some copies imported to North America may have come with an "Imported Japan" Capitol-EMI sticker that sealed the outer plastic sleeve
