Ibanez released the Destroyer series in 1984.It was loved as a trade mark for famous artists in the rock scene of the 1980s, and was reprinted once in 2013, as it remained hidden popularity even after production was discontinued.

This time we have arrived the precious 1985 DT450 BK Destroyer II, weighing 4.41kg.

This solid-body electric guitar model was produced for a short period of time in the mid-1980s, and the specifications and designs changed year by year.The Explorer-style body material has been changed from mahogany to basswood, making it lighter and has been given a contrasting ivory binding.The neck is made of maple wood with a set neck structure, and the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard uses flashy pearloid triangle inlays.The 12th frets are also dotted.

The pickups are equipped with two "Ibanez V5" humbuckers mounted on metal escutcheons, and the bridge is equipped with a "Pro Rock'r" double locking tremolo with locking nuts.The control knob uses the "Sure Grip II" and the pegs use the "Smooth Tuner II".

The DT355, which has a sibling model with an X-shaped body and does not use a flame maple top, was also in the lineup at the time.This "DT450" was discontinued in 1985, so those in good condition are quite rare.

Since it was produced by Fujigen at this time, it has a certain Japanese vintage feel, and it is understandable that it is described as a finished shredded guitar that boasts the highest level of "easy to play" and "sound" of the time.The bridge pickup screws are rusty and the screw holes are filled, so it cannot be removed, but the rest of the product is basically in good condition, and it is a masterpiece that we recommend to people who are keen on HR/HM!
