The "Destroyer" series was released by Ibanez in 1984.It was used as a trademark by famous artists in the 1980s rock scene, and it was reprinted once in 2013 because it remained popular even after production ended.

The item that has arrived this time is the precious 1985 "DT450 BK Destroyer II", weighing 4.41kg.

This solid body electric guitar model was produced for a short period of time in the mid-1980s, and its specifications and design changed each year.The Explorer-style body material has been changed from mahogany to basswood to reduce weight, and has contrasting ivory binding.The neck is made of maple with a set neck structure, and the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard features flashy pearloid triangle inlays.There is also a dot on the 12th fret.

The pickup is equipped with two "Ibanez V5" humbuckers mounted on a metal escutcheon, and the bridge is equipped with a "Pro Rock'r" double locking tremolo with a locking nut.The control knob uses "Sure Grip II" and the pegs use "Smooth Tuner II."

A sibling model, the ``DT355,'' which had an X-shaped body and did not use a flame maple top, was also available at the time.Production of this "DT450" ended in 1985, so finding one in good condition is quite rare.

Since it was manufactured by Fujigen during this period, it has a certain Japanese vintage feel to it, and it is no wonder that it has been described as a complete shred guitar that boasted the best "playability" and "sound" of its time.The bridge pickup screws are rusted and the screw holes are buried so they cannot be removed, but other than that it is basically in good condition and is a great machine that I would recommend to those who are interested in HR/HM!
