Notes
Capitol 1988 purple label re-issue, with new cat # and barcode. Capitol re-issued most of their US Beatles 1960s releases in 1988 with new catalog #s and barcodes for the first time. As of this note (Jan 2022), this is the last vinyl pressing of the original US Capitol releases. The difference between this purple label and one one from the late 70s is the Capitol logo is much smaller, perimeter text around most of the label, different factory, and of course the new catalog #.
Does NOT have a factory designation # on back cover.
Even though it has a new catalog # and matrix stamp, you can still see the old matrix stamp ST-1/2-2228 scratched out in the run-outs.
Barcode text reads 0 7777-90446-1 0 as printed on upper right back cover.
Pressing plant ID stamped on matrix/runout: the SRC logo, an S coiling around an R and a C.
MASTERED BY CAPITOL also stamped on matrix/runout.
Matrix/runouts are combinations of etchings, scratched-out etchings and stamps.
