Notes
Master Sound Series This series is a record of excellent sound quality born from the pursuit of the limit of record manufacturing technology. From recording and master tapes to cutting, plating, pressing, and quality control, every process is manufactured in the best possible state. The result is not only a stable and clear sound, but also ideal for rigorous checking of playback systems.Features:
1/2inch Analog Master Tape - This series uses a high-speed master tape of 76cm/sec, twice as fast as usual. Moreover, this 76cm/s master tape is directly used for cutting. As a result, the S/N ratio was improved by approximately 6dB, the saturation level by approximately 3dB, the dynamic range by approximately 9dB, and the frequency response was further improved. In addition, since the relative speed between the tape and the head is doubled, not only wow and flutter is improved, but also transient characteristics are improved, and it is resistant to instantaneously changing sounds such as impact sounds, and clear with good graininess. In addition, the W76 uses two tracks of 1/2 inch wide master tapes, which is twice as wide as the usual 1/4 inch wide master tapes. With this extravagant and spacious master tape, we have further improved the S / N ratio, dynamic range, reduced dropouts, and improved stability to ensure perfection.
Direct Plating - This is a method of plating directly on the lacquer disc without silver plating. Improved liquid temperature control of the plating liquid, reduction of electrodeposition stress, etc. have been improved, and further refinement has taken place. Compared to the surface of conventional silver-plated metal masters (photograph ①), this method produces a surface that is much finer and has no unevenness.
