BOSS's ``OD-1 OverDrive'', produced from 1977 to 1985, is the world's first overdrive pedal and the memorable first compact effector from BOSS, a leading effector brand.

This one that just arrived is a 1979 model with the serial number "8300", an RC3403ADB operational amplifier, "Products of Roland MADE IN JAPAN" written on the bottom of the back label, a skeleton switch, and silver screws.The LED indicator is for battery checkers only and is different from the current specifications.

This is a unit that allows you to experience the classic overdrive sound created by two simple knobs.
