Notes
Toshiba/EMI Japan issued this Euro-German compilation April 1978 as part of Japan's "Country Flag" obi / EAS re-issue series of the Beatles Japanese LP catalog which began in 1976. This Title n° 33 in the series, with German flag obi.It's a re-issue of the Odeon release "Beatles Beat" compilation. Originally released there April 1964.
Recording notes:
-Pressed from a copy of a German master, as identified by the matrix stamp
-True stereo on all tracks except A1 "She Loves You" and A4 "I'll Get You" are fake stereo.
Packaging notes:
-Includes bio-lyric sheet insert which mis-spells the title as "The Beatls Beat".
-Disc comes with clear rice-paper inner sleeve.
-Obistates ¥2,500
-Some copies imported to North America may have come with an "imported Japan" Capitol-EMI sticker that sealed the outer plastic sleeve (see photo)
-Apple logo on the obi but is on black & silver Odeon.
